The objectives of this team are to valorise lignocellulosic plant biomass [links with cluster 1] and industrial co-products, microbiologically (models: eukaryotic microorganisms, i.e. filamentous fungi and yeasts) and / or enzymatically for synthesis of molecules of interest: enzymes, sugars, organic acids, polyols, glycerol, antioxidants [links with the other teams of the cluster 2] ... Some of these molecules as classical as glucose, glycerol or other platform molecules are modified by enzymes for the bioproduction of molecules with higher added value such as organic acids, furfurals ....

team6p1

In order to meet the stated objectives, 4 types of projects will be carried out:

  1. Research of new enzymes for the valorisation of biomass.
  2. Biomass valorisation by enzymatic catalysis.
  3. Biomass valorisation using microorganisms
  4. Hybrid catalysis applied to the synthesis of biosourced chemical intermediates from biomass.
